DGHR Director-General Abdullah Al Falasi has pointed out its advantages for wellbeing and safety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Increased Efficiency &amp; Cost Savings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The year 2024 has shown an enhancement of productivity and energy saving, convincing DGHR to upscale the application of the program in 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leading Regionally<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dubai consistently remained in the news for innovations, after similar regional efforts, like Sharjah, which started full four-day week in 2022.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What This Means for Dubai and Not Just Dubai<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For Public Services:<\/strong> Performance is high even with fewer working days\u2014key departments remain open and accessible during the pilot.<\/li>\n<li><strong>For the Economy:<\/strong> More leisure would benefit tourism, retail, and hospitality sectors across the city. Experts see a flow effect.<\/li>\n<li><strong>For Policy Making:<\/strong> DGHR will be monitoring outcomes very carefully\u2014productivity, employee satisfaction, resource use\u2014to see if there is a case for extending this model into the subsequent summers or even for an entire year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The summer four-day workweek pilot for the year 2025 in Dubai is a bold move toward flexible, employee-centered governance.
