The station will be called Dubai Metro Blue Line- the flagship station and will exemplify the audacious infrastructure vision of the city.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Visionary Scale, The 74-Meter Wonder<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The showstopper for this mega-project will be a seashell station in <a href=\"http:\/\/dubai-creekharbour.ae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dubai Creek Harbour<\/a>-designed by the same architects as the iconic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.burjkhalifa.ae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burj Khalifa<\/a>. It will soar to a record vertical height of 70m making it the <strong>tallest underground metro station earth<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blue Line-Expanding the Metro City of Dubai<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Project Scope:<\/strong> 30-year line comprising <strong>14 new stations<\/strong>, evenly divided between 15.5-km underground and 14.5-km elevated tracks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Timetable:<\/strong> From construction in April 2025, ground-breaking on June 9, 2025, operation on <strong>September 9, 2029,<\/strong> will be the city&#8217;s 20th-proclamation anniversary on the Metro.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The coverage:<\/strong> The line will connect vital areas such as <strong>Mirdif, International City,<\/strong> <strong>Silicon Oasis, Academic City, and Dubai Creek Harbour.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Smart Choice: Sustainability &amp; Mobility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This ambitious endeavor promotes sustainability and connectivity:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first transportation project in Dubai following <strong>LEED Platinum<\/strong> green-build standards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Designed capacity:<\/strong> <strong>56,000 passengers an hour,<\/strong> expected to reach <strong>200,000 by 2030<\/strong> and perhaps <strong>320,000 by 2040.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>It contains five underground stations (the tallest of which), three interchange hubs, and a 1.3 km viaduct across <strong>Dubai Creek<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Economic &amp; Social Raising<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Blue Line is not just about engineering, and it is also seen as an economic engine:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Total investment of about <strong>Dh18-20.5 billion<\/strong> (~US$5 billion).
